A classic piece of mid-century furniture. The first mass-produced plastic chair. And as stylish today as it was when it was designed in 1948. Seat and back are formed of a single, molded piece with arms and waterfall edges. The shells are friendly to the earth as they are made of recyclable polypropylene. The standard glide is also available with felt to protect hard-surface floors.
The enduring design of the Eames Plastic Chairs continues to be a hit with our customers, and we can't blame them with as comfortable and durable as these chairs are. The chair collection continues to grow with an infusion of new colors and base options. Additionally, the chairs will now be produced locally in Michigan by Herman Miller, just as the vintage chairs were.
