Our Commitment To Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy the following notice explains the information we collect, how it is used, how it is safeguarded, and how to contact us if you have any concerns.
What information is collected:
As part of the order process, the following information is collected from shoppers:
- Shipping/billing address
- Email address
- Phone number
- Credit/debit card information
Like all other web servers, The Ohio State University's web server, which hosts wexarts.org, automatically creates log files for visitors accessing our site. These access logs do not record visitor names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, or any other personally identifying information. Rather, they contain some or all of the following information:
- The IP address of the machine accessing wexarts.org
- The date and time of the visit
- The path taken through our website
- The browser being used
- A list of files downloaded or viewed
- Any errors encountered
How that information is used:
Email addresses submitted by customers for final billing confirmation of their purchases (mandatory) or for email notification of bookshop sales and Wexner Center events (voluntary) are not used for any other purpose. You may opt out of voluntary email messages at any time. Personally identifying information will not be shared with or sold to parties outside Wexner Center Store and the Wexner Center for the Arts.
Access log data is used to provide answers to specific questions about the usage and performance of the web site or individual web pages. At no time is site usage associated with individual IP addresses.
The Wexner Center does not store credit card information from any transaction, whether it be online or in the Wexner Center Store.
We use third-party services, such as Google Analytics (including Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting) and ClickTale, to help us analyze how visitors to wexarts.org are using the site.
Google Analytics utilizes first-party cookies in order to:
- Determine which domain to measure
- Distinguish unique users
- Remember the number and time of previous visits
- Remember traffic source information
- Determine the start and end of a session
- Remember the value of visitor-level custom variables
We use data from Google Analytics (such as age, gender, and interests) to provide better, more relevant content to users of wexarts.org. If you would prefer that Google Analytics not have access to this information, you can choose to disable this tracking via Google's currently available opt-outs for the web.
