My mind is with the weather

Lukin Linklater, Tanya

The practice of Tanya Lukin Linklater is at once an exploration and articulation of insistence. Working across performance, video, installation, and writing, Lukin Linklater traces the expansive ways Indigenous knowledges, histories and structures have been embodied and sustained amid colonialisms' systemic dispossessions. Published on the occasion of her three-part exhibition My mind is with the weather, this catalogue documents a series of significant recent works produced by Lukin Linklater and her collaborators, highlighting her long-term research into relational gestures such as conversation, movement, listening, and touch.

Featuring contributions from Eungie Joo, Layli Long Soldier, Tanya Lukin Linklater, and Beth Piatote. Edited by Frances Loeffler. Co-published by the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; Oakville Galleries; and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksikaitsitapiitsinikssin.
